Prince Harry. |
Prince Harry might be returning to Afghanistan for another front-line military mission. Prince Harry, who goes by Harry Wales in the army, has been cleared to go back into active service. Harry, 26, is an Apache helicopter pilot and will finish his 'conversion to role' training in England, a 7-month programme, before he can be redeployed. When he finishes the course he'll be assigned to an Apache squadron and can then be sent, wherever the army wants him to go.
Harry spent 10 weeks fighting in Afghanistan in late 2007-early 2008 as a second lieutenant in the Blues and Royals regiment of the Household Cavalry. He didn't want to leave the troops, but was pulled and sent back to England because his deployment and details thereof were published in the press.
