Brandon Flowers is inspired by his solo career, when writing material for the new Killers album.

The Killers started studio work on their fourth album last month and singer Brandon Flowers hopes to get inspiration from his solo career for the band's new material. It seems to be working, because after a mere month the band has already finished five songs, that might make it onto the album.

Brandon, 30, started his solo career after The Killers announced a break, last year. In that year he released an album, 'Flamingo'. The singer has said that he wants to tell stories through his music and that he thinks that his solo record is a good example of that, "I hope to keep improving myself".

To be back in the studio with his bandmates feels really good, "it's a great idea that you're going to release something together again." The last Killers record is Day & Age, from 2008.

How Brandon is going to combine The Killers, his solo career and touring with his growing family is unknown. Brandon married his longtime girlfriend Tana Mundkowsky in 2005. Together they have three sons: Ammon, 4 next month, Gunnar, 2 next month, and Henry, who's almost 4 months old.
