Swedish DJ Basshunter has been cleared of sexually assaulting two 19-year old women in at a nightclub in Kirkcaldy, Scotland. The cousins said that Basshunter, real name Jonas Altberg, had grabbed one by the hair and thrusted her towards his crotch, and had forced the other girl to bend over, pulling up her dress and underwear, exposing her genitals and then slapping her.

Jonas, who appeared on the British Celebrity Big Brother, denied all charges. The Sheriff's Court at Kirkcaldy cleared him from all charges today. Sheriff Maxwell Hendry said that the evidence of the two women was "riddled with inconsistencies and improbabilities" and that their statements were neither credible, nor reliable. Jonas commented on the verdict saying that "it feels great" to be cleared.
